**First Appearance:** #book1 Stout, grayish aliens with no obvious eyes, just a profusion of hairs that look like cat’s whiskers. Dolux are a mainly subterranean race that use a combination of scent and echolocation enabled by the sensitive hairs to perceive the world around them. They aren’t noted for often leaving their buried cities on one of the planets in the [[Tau Ceti]] system, though not because they were especially xenophobic, more for the pragmatic fact that the world above ground was incredibly noisy for them, making it hard for them to even get around.
