**First Appearance:** #book11 An Earth-like planet in the [[Alpha Gruis System]] founded by "The First Waters" and "The Originator." No one really knows who or what theses beings were. Fountain World operates a luxury shuttle service out of [[Reticulum]], a domed pleasure city run by the Reapers. According to [[Petyr Groshenko]], Fountain World is like Disney World crossed with a Red Light district. FW was built with a purpose, to cater to the pleasures of the flesh, in preference to opulence, fine food, high-end entertainment, etc. They have those things too, but the main event is whatever fleshly/sex pleasure anyone wants, and was willing to pay for.  FW has an orbital platform where everyone has to either leave their ships over class 5 and take a shuttle down, or park their ship and take a workboat if they have one. FW’s founding was done in a celebration of all life, or so the story goes, according to Perry. He also states, “That’s the deal with the fountains you see everywhere. Whoever the founder was, he/she/it/them had a fascination with the things. Something about all that water spurting up—” #### Fountain City The city connected to the spaceport on Fountain World. #### Water's Edge (Castle) A place mentioned first simply as Water's Edge. It's an elaborate, palatial mansion and estate suspended about fifty meters above the waterfall, just hanging there in midair. The pictures didn’t do it justice. It is a breathtaking sight, made all the more spectacular by the foaming curtain of water surging over the cliff beneath it and wreathing it in shimmering, rainbow-hued tendrils of spray.
